Dear Creator (@black-emporium)
Hello and welcome! For the record, I am also
ziskandra on AO3.
I look forward to seeing whatever you create for me. While I have included prompts for my requests, please don't feel beholden to them if something I've mentioned, or my likes list, inspires you in a different direction! The prompts are just there to help in case you need some more specific ideas.
Likes: angst with an unhappy ending, apocalypse AU, bittersweet endings, body horror, canon divergences, character studies, dubcon due to power imbalances/altered states, drunk confessions, fake dating, first times, five times fic, femdom, huddling for warmth, internalised prejudice and repressed feelings, light bondage, on the run from the law, orgasm delay/denial, pegging, pining (requited or not), rough sex, setting change AUs, sex pollen, smutty character studies, soulmate AUs (both inverted and played straight), time-travel, unconventional formats and POVs (e.g. mixed media, interactive fiction, first/second person, outsider POV), watersports.
On art: I don't have specific art prompts, so feel free to take inspiration from my general ideas. All I ask is that you keep Hawke's default appearance(s). Run wild with with the Inquisitor and the Warden!
Here are some of my favourite art things: bright colours, clean lines, nature landscapes, lazy days in bed, kissing in the grass, or in the RAIN!, holding hands, the bigger person being carried by the smaller person, physical intimacy, couples wearing each other's clothes, limited colour palettes, abstract art, pastiches, tarot cards, solemn expressions... I'm not a huge fan of chibis and the like, but any other art style? You cannot go wrong!
DNWs: age play, animal play, bestiality, custom names for malleable protagonists, explicit underage (under 16), foot fetish (shoes okay!), incest, mpreg, omegaverse, physically violent noncon, raceplay, scat, unrequested asexuality headcanons, unrequested gender headcanons, vore.
Alistair/Anora Mac Tir
I love seeing these two come together to a slow and mutual understanding, where there's at least some affection between them. Does Anora go into their arranged marriage expecting Alistair to be more like his brother and is pleasantly surprised to find that he's not? What fears does she have for the future? What about Alistair's?
I've also requested this pairing in the marriage exchange with the following prompts, in case you would like any further ideas!
A ship that is full of endless possibilities! I'm happy for exploration of any possible configuration. Are Alistair and Cousland together before Alistair marries Anora? Are Cousland and Anora lovers before Alistair and Anora must marry out of duty? Or is there a hinge based on Alistair, or on Anora, or on Cousland? The sky's the limit! What happened to Loghain in this worldstate? Was he executed by Cousland? How does Anora reconcile that with their relationship? Or was he recruited into the Wardens? (I'm sure Alistair would have feelings about that!) Alternative canon-divergent solutions most welcome.
I'd especially love to see them planning for an heir, struggling with the Calling, or dealing with the political machinations of Ferelden.
Anora Mac Tir/Fergus Cousland
For these two, I would love to see something set post-Origins, whether they end up bonding over their losses of family (regardless of whether Loghain lives or dies, I think Anora will mourn who he was), or if they end up having a political marriage for the good of Fereldan (what with the Couslands being one of the most powerful noble families around!) I'd love to see them make things work, somehow, despite their differences. Do they end up conceiving an heir?
Alistair/Morrigan
I love how much both Alistair and Morrigan grow over the course of canon, going from not wanting to give each other the time of day to being on almost-begrudging respectful terms with one another. I’d cherish any exploration of their relationship from being made to do the Dark Ritual together, to potentially deciding to co-parent post-Inquisition. Or heck, a canon divergence where Alistair is more involved in Kieran's life from the get-go would also be adored!
Prompts: parenthood and healing from shitty childhoods, aphrodisiacs (either for use in the Dark Ritual or hey, maybe they come across some sex pollen or something in Inquisition), DRAGONS, DA4-era fic.
Alistair/Anora Mac Tir/Morrigan
Considering I love all possible sub-branches of them, why not all three together? I'm happy for the relationship to take any form you desire, whether it's V-style or they're all romantically/sexually involved. Particularly takes I'm particularly keen on involve Morrigan helping Alistair and Anora conceive (and feelings happen along the way), and/or Morrigan ending up as Anora's arcane advisor instead of Celene's. But whatever way you can make it work, I am here for it.
Alistair/Female Cousland/Morrigan
Another conflict-ripe relationship snatched from the bowels of canon! Does the Warden also participate in the Ritual to give Alistair additional support (emotionally or physically)? How does their relationship develop from there? What are Alistair's thoughts on being a father? I'd love to see him and the Warden get together with Morrigan properly before the events of Inquisition and co-parent Kieran!
Anora Mac Tir & Celia Mac Tir
There is not enough Celia fic out there, and I’d love to see how Anora interacts with her mother! Is she proud of her mother’s humble beginnings? Does she take more after Celia, or after her father, or a combination of both? Does Celia have an extensive extended family? How do they navigate their relationship in that context? How did Celia feel being separated from Anora so much of the year once Loghain started taking her to Denerim?
For art, I simply ask that Anora resemble her father more than Celia, and that Celia looks as though she's spent a lot of time labouring in the sun.
Isabela/Anora Mac Tir
Look, I just love the idea of Isabela seducing a queen. Is Isabela sneaking around Denerim to visit her old friend the Hero of Ferelden? Or Alistair? Maybe Isabela inadvertently rescues Anora from a threat or has intel that someone is trying to harm them, and sparks fly from there. Bonus points for Anora being frustrated (sexily or not) that Isabela's getting under herclothes skin!
Anora Mac Tir/Morrigan
I love the idea of Morrigan acting as Anora's arcane advisor instead of Celene's (perhaps the Warden puts them in touch?) I can see them being very drawn to one another -- two very powerful women who allow little compromise in the face of their goals. Besides, Anora needs an heir, and Kieran's right there... does that cause conflict between them?
Anora Mac Tir & Loghain Mac Tir
I’m so weak for explorations of Anora’s relationship with her father! I would particularly enjoy anything set post-Origins (but during Origins is fine too). Is Loghain proud of the woman she has become?
If Loghain sacrifices himself (either at the Battle of Denerim or in the Fade), how does Anora react? Does he leave her a letter to remember her by? Or perhaps Loghain keeps surviving everything life throws at him despite the odds and leaves to attend to his Calling at the ripe old age of eighty.
I’d prefer for Anora to be monarch (either alone or ruling with Alistair), but am open to other interpretations!
Leliana/Cassandra Pentaghast
The two Hands of the Divine! I just love all the potential symbolism of their relationship, of how they were both shaped into weapons for different purposes, the ways in which their ideals develop in parallel, and diverge. How does one of them becoming Divine (or not) affect their relationship? What did they get up to pre-canon?
Cassandra Pentaghast/Morrigan
The dragon meets the dragon slayer…! They’re both two very independent women with strong belief systems and I’m interested in the way they might clash with one another and how they might come to appreciate each other despite their differences.
Prompts: how their relationship develops in the post-Inquisition timeskip (whether Cassandra is Divine or not), fun with shapeshifting, Cassandra’s thoughts on mages, Morrigan’s thoughts on the Chantry.
Leliana/Morrigan
These two have so much history fighting with one another during the Blight. I'd love to see how they kept on touch over the years! Also, I'm convinced that Leliana had some small part in Morrigan’s Winter Palace dress, because it's so much like the dress she suggests Morrigan wear in Origins. Would also love to see Morrigan’s reaction to Leliana becoming the Divine, especially if they're already romantically involved!
Prompts: clandestine meetings, ravens, the ends justify the means, pretty things, jewellery, shoe shopping.
Cassandra Pentaghast/Leliana/Morrigan
I love every shipping combination of these three that exists, and yet there seems to exist zero (0) fics of them all together (please correct me if I'm wrong). Cassandra and Leliana as the Hands of the Divine (or eventually, one of them as Divine), Morrigan and Cassandra, the dragon, and the dragon-slayer, Leliana and Morrigan and their shared history during the Blight... I just want to see three powerful, headstrong women learn they're better together than alone, in whatever way works for them! (And I would love to see how they all interact with Kieran if such a thing is of interest to you!)
Celia Mac Tir/Loghain Mac Tir
Let Loghain Mac Tir love his wife! I love everything about them, from their humble origins where Celia chewed him out for living in a tent outside his crumbling castle, to how they must have struggled together with being elevated above their station. How did they feel about becoming parents? Did they ever want to have more children? And what does Celia think of Loghain spending so much time in Denerim (and taking Anora with him, as he gets older?) Does Celia suspect that Loghain still holds a torch for Rowan? If so, what does she do about it? How does Loghain cope (or not) with Celia's death?
For art, I simply ask that Celia not look too much like Anora, and also looks like she's spent a fair amount of time outdoors, labouring in the sun.
Loghain Mac Tir/Maric Theirin
God, I love their devotion to one another, the way that Maric gets under Loghain’s icy exterior during the Rebellion, and how Loghain would do anything for Maric, if you get my drift. I’d be equally happy for something set during the Rebellion, or after Rowan’s death. The Stolen Throne gives so much shipping fodder as is, but also, I love the idea of neither Maric and Loghain acting on their feelings for one another until they’re united in their grief about Rowan (and how do they deal with that?)
Or, alternatively, consider a set-up where instead of Alistair finding Maric as he did in the comics, it’s Loghain who finds him…
In any case, if it takes place during a time where Loghain is married to Celia (and Celia is alive!) I’d like for her to know and approve of Loghain’s relationship with Maric (whatever form it might take.
Loghain Mac Tir/Rowan Guerrin
Goshhh, the PINING. I love how they find comfort in each other’s arms when Maric is off doing his thing with Katriel (I would adore an expanded scene of their first time in the Deep Roads if you’re so inclined), especially as Loghain’s already expressed his feelings for Rowan (with the intention of getting shot down, I feel). But anything later in canon would be loved, too – I think Loghain allowing Maric to believe the worst about Katriel really coloured Rowan’s view of him as a person, and I would love to see them try and reconcile these differences (and succeed? or fail?)
If you're in any way feeling inclined towards soulmates, here are some soulmate prompts from when I requested this pairing in the soulmate exchange. (nb for the 'arranged marriage' prompt the arranged marriage should still be the one between Rowan and Maric.)
God, these three never fail to make my heart hurt. I'm happy for anything featuring them to be set anywhere from during the rebellion up until Rowan's death. I personally see Rowan as having great difficulty trusting and feeling safe around Loghain again since the end of Stolen Throne, but I'm very open to other takes on their relationship! Who's the one who brings up that instead of having all this weird awkward tension they should just sleep together, the three of them? (It's probably not Loghain, but it'd be hilarious if it were!)
If set in later canon where Loghain is married to Celia, I'd prefer for her to know and approve of Loghain's involvement (and whether she also takes part is up to you!) But if that's not your cup of tea, I'd prefer for her not to be mentioned at all.
If you happen to be in a setting AU mood, here's a prompt I submitted to the recent AU Exchange which I am still very keen on!
Like above, but Celia is more actively involved in the polyamarous shambles! I'd particularly love her POV on the relationships between the other three, and how she relates to them each as individuals.
For art, I simply ask that Celia not look too much like Anora, and also looks like she's spent a fair amount of time outdoors, labouring in the sun.
Blackwall/Loghain Mac Tir
This probably makes the most sense in a world state where Loghain is a Warden. And Blackwall, as we know, is not a Warden. Does this cause conflict? Does Loghain catch Blackwall out on his lie? Does Blackwall end up getting exiled along with the other Grey Wardens and somehow bonds with Loghain along the way? Between them, they have so many regrets, and they both have complicated, albeit different, relationships with Orlais. Dig into them. See what makes them tick. I'd love to see it.
Eamon Guerrin/Loghain Mac Tir
I know they can barely stand each other, but I’d love to see some bickering, enemies to uneasy allies, or hatesex between them. Maybe they’re brought together while both mourning Rowan? Perhaps Loghain dislikes Isolde for more than the crime of being Orlesian? Or is Loghain mad that Eamon doesn't understand the sacrifices that were made during the Rebellion because Eamon was being taken care of in the Marches? Or maybe their relationship is more of a political alliance, of both men trying to keep an eye on their enemy? Honestly, just let your id fly with this request, because I don’t care how you make it happen, I just want to see it done.
Jean-Marc Stroud/Loghain Mac Tir
Let’s be real, who can resist that moustache? Not even Loghain… anyway, I would love to see Loghain having slowly overcome his distrust of Orlesians during his time with the Wardens, bonding with Stroud along the way. Maybe they’re both investigating the fake Calling together?
Loghain Mac Tir/Meredith Stannard
An odd pairing? Yes, indeed! These are two of my faves, and I'd love to see them together in any capacity that you dream of. Maybe Meredith somehow survives the events of Dragon Age 2 and is made a Warden? They would both have a lot to bond over when it comes to being blinded by paranoia and their childhood trauma, as well as being weighed down by the burdens of command...
Loghain Mac Tir/Morrigan
I love how their relationship builds from one of mutual suspicion to begrudging respect, especially if Loghain is chosen to complete the Dark Ritual. I’d love either something set around the time of the Dark Ritual itself, or their interactions in the Inquisition era where their paths cross once again (regardless of if Loghain did the Dark Ritual or not).
Female Cousland/Loghain Mac Tir
My favourite dynamic in this pairing is Cousland (default name of Elissa, please) being competent and sexually experienced (I'd prefer Loghain not be their first or anything like that), and to initiate the relationship between them. Perhaps Loghain feels reluctant at first because of the age gap? Perhaps they get in a compromising position while sparring? How do they resolve the ending of Origins? What opinions does Anora have on their relationship?
I've also previously requested this pairing in the prisoner exchange, so if you're looking for more prompts along those lines, see below!
I'd love to see them bond while they're working together investigating the Grey Wardens. My favourite Hawke for this pairing is a Red Hawke who sided with the templars (they can bond with Loghain over being Fereldan and making difficult decisions that led them to be ostracised), but other configurations are more than welcome, too. I'm probably least interested in a Blue Hawke, overall, but if you have a really good idea for them, go ahead!
(Also, any indication of the ramifications of their Fade visit would be loved. Maybe one of them tries to stage a rescue attempt! Or they decide to stay behind… together??)
If you're in the mood to write a soulmate AU, there's some soulmate specific prompts that I would adore, but please don't feel limited to them!
This is another of my 'just want to see two of my faves together' requests. I think they would have a lot in common with regards to their sense of duty, but might be critical of one another when it comes to topics of faith and whether the end justifies the means (even though they're both self-critical as well). Anyway. I just think they're neat! Maybe something forces them to spend extended time in proximity with one another? Loghain is canonically attracted to women who would step on him a bit -- Cassandra would fit the bill nicely. Maybe they could spar? Maybe Loghain hangs around the Inquisition for longer than he does in canon? Whatever you're thinking, I'm here for it.
Female Trevelyan/Loghain Mac Tir
I'm running out of ways to say that I just want to see Loghain love strong, beautiful women. Maybe Trevelyan has heard stories of Ferelden's general and admires the way he handled things? Maybe she doesn't and they get off on the wrong foot? Does she ask him for help? Look to him as an example of what not to do?
All I ask is you keep the default name of Evelyn -- any appearance/class is fine.
Ser Cauthrien/Loghain Mac Tir
Two words: loyalty kink. I would especially love to see Cauthrien being the initiator (maybe she wants to help him relax, or feels that she owes him, whatever!) and Loghain being reluctant at first (she’s so much younger than him!) but having his hesitations assuaged by his lieutenant. Or, alternatively, sex pollen with these two would be amazing…
Female Hawke/Meredith Stannard
I would love seeing Meredith bounce off a red or purple Hawke, especially in a world where Bethany has joined the Circle! Does Hawke end up involved with Meredith because she wants to keep a closer eye on Bethany? Does Meredith blackmail her somehow? Or do they end up bonding over having similar opinions on mages?
Cullen Rutherford/Meredith Stannard
Cullen and Meredith both have a tragic history with mages. Does Meredith play upon Cullen's fears in order to make him a better Templar? Does she tell Cullen about what happened to her sister? I'd also be interested in a canon-divergent AU where Meredith survives the events of DAII! How does that impact what happens next?
Meredith Stannard/Orsino
I love their arguments and bickering, and it's very easy to read it (as a Purple Hawke does!) as belligerent sexual tension. How does the power dynamic between them affect their relationship? Do they both believe they want the best world for mages, but conflict arises because their view of what that world should look like is not aligned? How much knowledge does Meredith have of Orsino's correspondence with Quentin? I would prefer it if the Chantry/Andrastianism is portrayed as the primary oppressive factor that is keeping both mages and templars in their place, while not overlooking that there are templars that take advantage of their relative position of power, if it comes up.
Josephine Montilyet/Sera
I love the contrast between these two women, how Sera might remind Josephine of a simpler life while Sera considers Josephine high-and-mighty before realising she’s actually quite alright, despite her airs and pretences.
Prompts: Sera gets Josephine involved in her pranks somehow, meeting Josephine’s parents, standing up to societal norms, hurried sex in a public place, ripping apart a fancy dress.
If you're hankering for a soulmate AU in particular, here's some prompts I particularly jived with from the recent soulmates exchange below. (For the Arranged Marriage prompt, the impending marriage in question should be the one between Josephine and Otranto).
I really enjoy these two together from an ‘opposites attract’ angle. What pushes them together? A magic curse? Sex pollen? Arranged marriage? And how do they make things work between them? What struggles do they face along the way? How do they deal with each other’s family? How does Cassandra becoming Divine (or not) affect their relationship?
If you're in the mood for soulmates, I have some of my favourite prompts from the recent soulmate exchange listed below. (For the arranged marriage prompt, the marriage in question should be the one between Josephine and Otranto.)
Despite Dawn of the Seeker's flaws, I really liked the way their relationship was depicted in the movie, and I've always wanted MORE. I'd love to see a take on their first time, or any sort of wooing, really (we know Cass can be a tough woman to please!), or explorations on how they manage their relationship over the years (are they on-and-off again? Do they write each other love letters? I'm down for any interpretation) How does Cassandra cope with the news of his passing? Alternatively, I'd love to see a canon-divergence AU where Regalyan survives the Conclave!

Established Marriage - Couple Searching for a Third to Help Conceive BabyAlistair/Female Cousland/Anora Mac Tir
I would love to see something where Anora and Alistair have developed their marriage to a point of having at least a deep abiding respect for one another, if not love, and realising they need to devise a solution to their heir problem. Personally, I see Anora as being more passionate about wanting her own biological child, whereas I'm sure Alistair will have a lot of mixed feelings about bringing a bastard into the world (whether or not Kieran also exists in this world state). Do they bring another man into the relationship to knock Anora up (I'm fine with whoever, although I'd prefer a canonical character, no matter how minor), or do they perhaps even get Morrigan involved to help increase Anora's chances of conception?
Royal Marriage - Requires Public Consummation / Wedding Night - Consummation Traditionally Involves the Couple Being Watched
I'm weak for public consummation of royal arranged marriages. Is this a longstanding Fereldan tradition, or is it something new they've implemented due to rumours of Anora being frigid and/or barren? Is one of them more comfortable with the concept than the other? I can see it going in a whole lot of different directions: Anora determined to do what is necessary for the good of the country and Alistair firmly believing she deserves better; Alistair hiding his own discomfort with the ceremony because he thinks he needs to be strong for Anora (regardless of her feelings on the matter); Alistair feeling so overwhelmed he just goes along with it... Whatever angle you want to take, I am here for it.
I'm happy for the audience to consist of anyone, and to be as small as Arl Eamon, or as large as the entire Landsmeet. Up to you!
I'd especially love to see them planning for an heir, struggling with the Calling, or dealing with the political machinations of Ferelden.

Arranged Marriage - They're Not Your Soulmate
Bakery/CoffeshopCelia Mac Tir/Loghain Mac Tir/Maric Theirin/Rowan Guerrin
One of my favourite things about Mundane AUs is transporting the high-stake emotions of world saving fantasy stuff to theoretically lower stake things. I'd love to see Loghain running a bakery or coffee shop or what have you, especially if it had previously been built by his friends (or potentially more?) Rowan and Maric. He's so loyal, sometimes to the extent of not knowing what's best for him and the country business, and I'd love to see how this shakes out in a mundane setting. Does Anora try to stop her dad from selling the business (to Rendon Howe)? Does Morrigan end up becoming a regular at the cafe? Does Loghain have complicated feelings about the cafe? I'm here for any and all of it, just transport some of the political machinations to the high stake world of small business PLEASE.
(Also, I know I said 'mundane AUs', but feel free to retain magic/elves/dwarves/Qunari as you see fit, and/or set it in Modern Thedas!)
CaptivityOr if soulmates are more up your alley, here are some of my favourite soulmate tropes for them, too.
• Attitude - Attempt at manipulation leads to feelings
• Attitude - arguing and backtalk from prisoner
• Attitude - Captor(s) Treat Prisoner(s) as Lover
• Attitude - Prisoner and Captor are sexually attracted to each other
• Attitude - Prisoner blames themself for getting caught
• Attitude - prisoner unconvinced by captor's threats
• Restraint - Chains
What if... hear me out here... instead of turning Loghain into a Grey Warden at first (or maybe she still does, up to you!) Cousland decides to keep him around for other purposes. Maybe along the way they might realise they have more in common than they first thought, but honestly, however you want to play this, I am sure I will love it.
SoulmatesFemale Hawke/Loghain Mac Tir
• Character sees color for the first time upon meeting soulmate
• Dream sharing between soulmates
• Name on wrist when partner born soulmate AU
• Soulmate's name on skin
• How Soulmates Affect Society Worldbuilding
• Finding Your Soulmate Counts as Being Legally Married No Matter the Situation
• Arranged Marriage - They're Not Your Soulmate
SoulmatesLoghain Mac Tir/Cassandra Pentagahst
• Character sees color for the first time upon meeting soulmate
• Dream sharing between soulmates
• Name on wrist when partner born soulmate AU
• Soulmate's name on skin
• How Soulmates Affect Society Worldbuilding
• Finding Your Soulmate Counts as Being Legally Married No Matter the Situation
• Arranged Marriage - They're Not Your Soulmate
SoulmatesJosephine Montilyet/Cassandra Pentaghast

• Name on wrist when partner born soulmate AU
• Soulmate's name on skin
• How Soulmates Affect Society Worldbuilding
• Finding Your Soulmate Counts as Being Legally Married No Matter the Situation
• Arranged Marriage - They're Not Your Soulmate
I really enjoy these two together from an ‘opposites attract’ angle. What pushes them together? A magic curse? Sex pollen? Arranged marriage? And how do they make things work between them? What struggles do they face along the way? How do they deal with each other’s family? How does Cassandra becoming Divine (or not) affect their relationship?
If you're in the mood for soulmates, I have some of my favourite prompts from the recent soulmate exchange listed below. (For the arranged marriage prompt, the marriage in question should be the one between Josephine and Otranto.)
SoulmatesRegalyan D'Marcall/Cassandra Pentaghast
• Character sees color for the first time upon meeting soulmate
• Dream sharing between soulmates
• Name on wrist when partner born soulmate AU
• Soulmate's name on skin
• How Soulmates Affect Society Worldbuilding
• Finding Your Soulmate Counts as Being Legally Married No Matter the Situation
• Arranged Marriage - They're Not Your Soulmate
Despite Dawn of the Seeker's flaws, I really liked the way their relationship was depicted in the movie, and I've always wanted MORE. I'd love to see a take on their first time, or any sort of wooing, really (we know Cass can be a tough woman to please!), or explorations on how they manage their relationship over the years (are they on-and-off again? Do they write each other love letters? I'm down for any interpretation) How does Cassandra cope with the news of his passing? Alternatively, I'd love to see a canon-divergence AU where Regalyan survives the Conclave!
